I had a dream where I took my husband, daughter, and several sons on a company trip.
When we arrived at our destination, our family was assigned a slightly larger room where we first placed our luggage. The room seemed a bit old, with beams and wooden pillars showing many dents. The lower part of the beams and white walls were painted black.
As soon as we entered the room, the kids started fighting for beds. I noticed there were eight sockets on the wall near the bed for my husband and me. My husband said, "Now everyone can charge their phones." However, the sockets looked different from what we usually use, resembling European three-pin sockets. Then, my husband found another socket on a different wall and happily said, "I found a place to charge my phone."
I noticed my husband’s charger was usual, with two small battery-like stands at the bottom. It was a large charger that needed to be plugged into the socket.
I remember there were many empty beds in the room, along with throw pillows and blankets. Everyone picked their beds, and I quickly distributed the pillows and cushions. Most of the beds were against the wall, which was quite hard, so I placed large pillows against the wall, and small ones at the head and foot of the beds to act as armrests, turning the beds into comfortable sofas. I arranged the pillows for everyone.
I also recall there were many corners in the room. I placed extra small pillows in the corners to make sitting there more comfortable and less awkward. When we ran out of pillows, I folded the blankets into squares to use as makeshift pillows.
Eventually, I went to a bed to rest, grabbing a Ralph Lauren blanket and a small pillow for my feet. I lay down and made myself comfortable.
A somewhat unfamiliar friend, Vincent, was also assigned to our room. Seeing how cozy I made my area, he wanted to do the same but realized there were no more pillows. He went to the front desk to request the same setup.
The front desk staff came to find me to understand how I arranged everything. I explained my method, and she thought it was clever. She then tried to help Vincent get a similar setup so he could rest comfortably.
The scene shifted to me taking my daughter to eat. As we walked towards the restaurant, it started to rain heavily. There was a taxi and our company tour bus ahead, with other colleagues getting off. These colleagues had somewhat strange appearances, with children’s faces on adult bodies.
As the rain intensified, a colleague from the taxi asked if we needed an umbrella. Initially, I declined but eventually accepted a red Chinese paper umbrella from him. I held my daughter's shoulder as we walked into the restaurant.
Because it was a company trip, many people were lining up to enter the dining area. I saw my colleague Karen and some younger colleagues in line, so I quietly cut in. My daughter briefly left my side, but I stayed in line since it had been hard to get there.
As people continued to enter, I began wondering, "Where’s my daughter?" Suddenly, I heard her say, "I'm right here!" I looked at her and noticed she seemed to have grown up, wearing a black sweater.
Since our seats were prearranged, I went to find our table. Moving towards the stage, our seats were in a corner near the kitchen. It was crowded. My daughter and I sat together, with a handsome guy beside us.
Our seat wasn’t really a table but a small ledge by the wall where we had to face the wall to eat. The space was cramped. Seeing a larger area on the other side of a low wall, I considered moving there but found a slop bucket on that side. So, my daughter and I returned to our original spot.
We were in an inside corner, with space for only one chair, making it very tight. Fortunately, the handsome guy moved his seat a bit.
As I was about to sit, I noticed a sticky stain on the chair. With a tissue in hand, I looked for water to wet it. Since our seat was near the kitchen, I guessed the stain might be from spilled soup. I saw a faucet nearby, wet the tissue, and wiped the chair. Then I realized I had cleaned the wrong chair.
I turned and saw my friend Melody laughing. I thought, "Why am I cleaning someone else’s chair?" I must have seen the stain and assumed it was my chair.
I then went to my chair to clean it. The sticky mess looked like syrup. I busied myself cleaning it, and the guy next to me watched as I wiped.
Ending 1: Discovery and Resolution
As you finish cleaning the sticky stain, you notice something unusual under the chair. It's a small, intricately carved wooden box. Curiosity piqued, you open it to find a beautiful, antique key. A sudden realization hits you: the key might unlock a hidden door or secret compartment in the old room. You and your daughter head back, discovering a concealed door behind one of the beams. Unlocking it reveals a cozy, hidden nook filled with plush cushions and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It becomes a special place for your family to relax and bond, transforming the entire trip into a treasured memory.
Ending 2: A Magical Twist
As you continue cleaning the sticky chair, the handsome guy next to you offers to help. You accept his assistance, and as you both wipe the chair, it starts to shimmer and change. Suddenly, the entire room transforms into a magical banquet hall, with elegant decorations and sumptuous food appearing on the tables. The cramped, uncomfortable space is now spacious and luxurious. Everyone is delighted and surprised. Your daughter looks at you, beaming, and you realize that the dream has turned into a fantasy where your efforts to make things better have magically enhanced everyone's experience.
Ending 3: A Sudden Departure
Just as you finish cleaning the chair, you hear an announcement over the loudspeaker: due to unexpected weather changes, the company trip is being cut short, and everyone needs to return to the buses immediately. There's a rush of activity as everyone gathers their belongings. Despite the chaos, you feel a sense of relief. The discomfort and challenges of the trip are ending sooner than expected, giving you a chance to return home and rest. On the bus ride back, you and your daughter sit together, sharing stories and laughs, feeling closer and more connected than ever before.
Ending 4: Personal Reflection
After cleaning the chair, you sit down and reflect on the entire experience. You realize that despite the challenges, you've managed to create comfort and solutions for yourself and your family. This moment of introspection gives you a sense of pride and accomplishment. Your daughter, noticing your contemplative mood, asks if everything is okay. You smile and assure her that you are fine, feeling a deeper connection and understanding of your own strengths and abilities. The dream ends with a sense of peace and fulfillment.
Ending 5: A Reunion
As you finish wiping the chair, the restaurant doors burst open, and you see an old friend you haven't seen in years. They are part of another company trip happening at the same venue. The surprise reunion brings joy and excitement, leading to an impromptu gathering where old friends and new acquaintances come together. The room fills with laughter and shared memories, turning the previously stressful situation into a joyous celebration. Your daughter meets their children, and everyone bonds over shared experiences, making the trip unforgettable for all the right reasons.
Dreams can be complex and their meanings often vary based on personal experiences and emotions. Here’s a possible interpretation of your dream:

Cleaning a sticky chair and realizing it wasn’t yours could symbolize efforts to fix problems or situations that aren’t necessarily your responsibility. It might reflect a tendency to help others or get involved in resolving issues, sometimes at the expense of your own needs.
Melody and Laughter
Melody’s laughter could represent a reminder not to take things too seriously or to find humor in mundane tasks. It suggests light-heartedness and the importance of not overburdening yourself.
