I dreamed that I was in class with my high school classmate, Regina. After class, the teacher assigned us not only to clean the classroom but also to write a script.
As everyone gathered in the classroom and I was about to introduce myself, the lead from my mechanical pencil fell out and scattered on the floor.
When I bent down to pick up the lead under the desk, I noticed there was a large pile of mechanical pencil lead on the ground. I was puzzled, thinking they couldn't have all come from my pencil; others' lead must have fallen too, because there was enough to fill an entire box.
As I was picking up the lead, I thought, "If I collect them all, I can take them home to use."
There were so many that everyone helped me pick them up, and even a box wasn't enough to hold them all. Others found a piece of paper to wrap them up. Since the leads were thin and fragile, I thought they might break if not wrapped tightly, so we needed to secure them well.
Initially, I considered folding the paper into a box, but I decided to roll it like a candy wrapper and pinch the ends. That should do the trick.
Next, we discussed the content of the script. Coincidentally, someone on TV was recommending some films, so we decided to watch those first. I organized the lead while watching the films.
The films were all about the stories of Taiwanese women. In one story, the female protagonist was an excellent student who married a gravel truck driver, only to end up divorced. At the end of the film, she said calmly to her husband, "You once said you’d take care of me for a lifetime. Back then, I was still a young lady, and now, as I've become older, you say you need to find your own happiness."
We continued watching these short stories about Taiwanese women and discussed how we could use them as material for our script, creating episodes for a series. Everyone was enthusiastically discussing how to write the script.
Suddenly, I had an idea, "Yes! My dream journal could also be turned into short stories for the script." I thought seriously about it. "I should Google or use ChatGPT to learn about scriptwriting techniques and formats. I should start writing and then find ways to pitch my work."
The more I thought about it, the more excited I became. "If this could become a 30-episode series like on Netflix, with multiple seasons, I have so many dream stories that they would never end."
In the dream, I thought that if I could develop this theme well, it could become a lifelong source of income.
