I had a dream where I attended a meeting with my cousin Vincent and his team, while I listened in. Vincent, with his cold yet humorous demeanor, was addressing various issues within the department. Despite his jokes, he maintained a sense of authority that made his team appreciate his leadership style.
Vincent also shared his educational background, mentioning that he was educated in Taiwan up until high school, but quickly felt that the curriculum was limited, so he went to study in Australia. He observed that Taiwanese students are often too quiet and encouraged everyone to speak up more. I couldn’t help but laugh, thinking to myself that I'm definitely someone who speaks up, perhaps even more than Vincent, though I'm often seen as odd because of it.
Vincent mentioned that he plans to return to Australia, where there are mountains, rivers, and a serene environment that's perfect for living. As he spoke, I envisioned a watercolor painting of a countryside landscape—green mountains and a blue river, simple and peaceful.
He also advised everyone to smoke less, or better yet, not at all. However, there were still two people on the team who were determined to keep smoking, so Vincent just wished them good health and suggested they cut down.
As I ate Cantonese rice rolls, I listened to him humorously guide his team. Some of his remarks were so funny that I accidentally spilled some sauce.
A short-haired girl wearing glasses handed me a napkin. I wiped the floor, only to realize it was dry. Later, I found out that she was also a manager, and she was the next to give a presentation. I thought she was kind, probably because I was new, and she noticed me, curious about who I was.
During the break, my cousin Mayling came over to greet me and asked if I had just returned to Taiwan. I told her that I had been back for many years but was now preparing to return to the U.S. I said that since my kids are grown, it’s time for me to go home.
Mayling wished me all the best for the future. Then, the next presentation began.

有個短髮戴眼鏡的女生遞了衛生紙給我。我擦了一下地上，發現地是乾的。後來我才知道說這女生也是主管，下一個報告就是她。我覺得她人很好，大概因為我是新人， 她有注意到我，想知道我是誰。
中場休息時，表姊 Mayling 過來和我打招呼，問我是不是剛回台。我說我回來很多年了，現在要回美國。我說孩子長大了，我該回家了。
