I dreamed of an aunt who resembled a traditional housewife and appeared rather plain. At an event, she proposed a design project and needed volunteers to join.
I thought her idea was great, so I actively used my connections to help her find people. Gradually, volunteers started joining. Eventually, she felt there were enough people, and these volunteers began introducing others. At that point, I could tell she wanted to distance herself from me and no longer needed me in her team.
Initially, I felt somewhat sad and even a bit angry, thinking she was ungrateful. But then I changed my perspective. After all, it was about helping others. I had helped her get started by finding people, and whether the project succeeded or not wasn't as important to me anymore.
When I shifted my mindset, I felt more at ease and didn't feel the need to be part of the team, believing that I had to play a certain role or achieve something significant to truly participate. I realized that there are many ways to contribute and I didn't need to cling to this particular point.
I continued thinking, "Leading a team isn't easy either!" A team needs cohesion and collective effort. If there are too many opinions, it’s hard to get things done.
Ending 1: Unexpected Collaboration
As I stepped back, feeling a mix of emotions, the aunt approached me with a new idea. She suggested we co-lead another project, combining her practical insights with my network and enthusiasm. Together, we built a strong, cohesive team, and our new venture thrived beyond our expectations.
Ending 2: Personal Fulfillment
While observing the team from a distance, I realized that my true passion was helping others find their place. I started a new initiative focused on mentoring and connecting people with projects that matched their skills. This gave me immense personal fulfillment, and I discovered a new calling in empowering others.
Ending 3: Rediscovery of Purpose
Feeling unneeded, I decided to explore new interests. I stumbled upon a community center looking for volunteers for a different cause. My experience with the aunt's project made me a valuable asset, and I found renewed purpose in this new setting, where my contributions were appreciated and impactful.
Ending 4: Acknowledgment and Appreciation
Just as I was about to step back, the aunt called a meeting and publicly acknowledged my contributions. She thanked me for my efforts in building the team and asked me to take on an advisory role. Feeling valued and respected, I accepted, continuing to support the project from a strategic perspective.
Ending 5: Independent Growth
After the aunt distanced herself, I decided to start my own project. Using the skills and experience I gained, I attracted a passionate team and launched an innovative initiative. My project became a success, and I learned that sometimes, stepping away can lead to new opportunities for growth and leadership.
Ending 6: A Humble Closure
Reflecting on my journey, I decided to quietly step away, content with the knowledge that I had made a difference. I focused on personal growth and self-care, knowing that true contribution doesn't always need recognition. I found peace and fulfillment in the simple act of helping others, no matter the outcome.

Helping Through Connections: Your active role in recruiting volunteers suggests that you are resourceful and willing to go out of your way to help others. It indicates a sense of responsibility and a proactive attitude.
Feeling Unneeded: The moment when the aunt seems to want to distance herself from you might symbolize feelings of rejection or being unappreciated, especially after you’ve invested effort into something.
Initial Sadness and Anger: These emotions reflect a natural response to feeling unrecognized or undervalued. It's common to feel hurt when one's contributions are overlooked.
Shift in Perspective: Changing your mindset to focus on the positive aspects of helping without needing recognition suggests personal growth. It shows that you understand the value of selfless assistance and the importance of the bigger picture.
