I dreamed that I was going to attend the company’s year-end party. Unlike the grand banquets of previous years, this year’s event was simple—just gathering at a restaurant after work.
I have a formal dress that I rarely get the chance to wear, so I decided to bring it to the office, planning to dress up for the occasion.
As the end of the workday approached, I needed to go to the bank to withdraw some money, as there seemed to be a fee to pay.
On my way past the reception desk, I saw Terry, the receptionist. She asked if I was going to change into my dress today. I replied, "Yes, I am."
Terry asked, "Oh! Are you wearing a regular dress or a formal one?" "A formal dress," I answered.
Then the elevator doors opened, and there were many people inside.
Terry continued, "Do you still have time to change?"
I said, "I’ve had this dress for a while now. Since our company parties are getting smaller, there won’t be many chances to wear it in the future. So, I thought I’d wear it today."
Terry suggested, "You could save it for next year or the year after."
I replied, "I can't even be sure it will fit me this year! I might gain weight and not be able to wear it later, so I thought I'd better wear it this year."
I walked to the bank, although I had some cash on hand and wasn't sure why I needed to withdraw more. Nevertheless, I continued to the bank.
The bank was quite special, still open after six. I intended to withdraw 3,000 dollars but ended up depositing 3,000 dollars instead. I questioned myself, "Do I really need to withdraw money? I can use the cash I already have!"
Since it might be inconvenient to withdraw money later, I decided to go ahead and withdraw 3,000 dollars. At the bank, I saw Sun Yue, a senior staff member from my company, accompanied by a secretary.
He wanted to make a deposit, but I told him I needed to go first as I was ahead of him in line.
The bank’s counter shutters were already down, but they lifted them when we arrived. The teller gave me a form to fill out and then guided me to the ATM. I fed the bills into the machine.
I overheard Sun Yue talking to the bank staff, saying he had a lot of money to deposit and asking if they could help since the ATM was slow. The staff said no, as it was past regular service hours and only machine transactions were allowed.
I watched Sun Yue and his secretary talking with the bank staff. After my transaction was completed, the bank clerk put a new sticker on my ID card, listing the transactions I could do myself.
Then I walked back to the company. It seemed like there was more to the story, but I forgot the rest.
Terry
Terry

These different endings provide a range of emotions and themes, from joy and celebration to personal reflection and achievement, each offering a unique conclusion to your dream.
Dreams can be highly personal and subjective, often reflecting our subconscious thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Here's an interpretation of your dream:
Year-end Party: The year-end party represents an important event or milestone in your life. The fact that it’s simplified this year might reflect feelings of nostalgia or change in your routine or expectations.
Formal Dress: The formal dress symbolizes a desire to showcase a different side of yourself or seize an opportunity. It suggests that you have something special or valuable that you want to reveal or utilize, but you rarely get the chance.
Bank Trip: Going to the bank and dealing with money could signify concerns about your resources, be it financial or personal energy. Withdrawing and depositing money might reflect a need for balance in your life, managing what you have and what you need.
Receptionist Interaction: Terry’s questions about your dress and whether you have time to change might represent internal doubts or external pressures about meeting expectations and managing time effectively.
Elevator: The crowded elevator could symbolize feeling overwhelmed or constrained by the people around you or by social situations.
Conversation with Terry: Your conversation about the dress highlights a fear of missing opportunities (the dress not fitting in the future) and a desire to take action now rather than procrastinating.
Bank Details: The specifics of your bank visit, such as seeing Sun Yue and the shutters being lifted, suggest you are seeking assistance or clarity in a complex situation. Sun Yue’s issues with the bank’s time restrictions might reflect your own concerns about deadlines and efficient time use.
New Sticker on ID: Receiving a new sticker with self-executable transactions could symbolize a growing sense of independence and empowerment. You are gaining new capabilities and responsibilities.
Walking Back to the Company: Returning to the company indicates a return to your responsibilities or everyday life after handling personal matters. The fact that you forget the rest might suggest that some aspects of your life or future plans are currently uncertain or unresolved.
Overall, your dream seems to center around themes of readiness, seizing opportunities, managing resources, and balancing personal and professional life. It may reflect your thoughts about change, preparation, and making the most of the present moment.
