I dreamt that I, along with a team, arrived at a marine circus. I was assigned to a group of fish that were participating in the activities for the first time.
The game was called 'Fish Cannonball,' where fish were put into a cannon and launched. If they survived, they would earn their freedom and could return to live in the ocean.
Leading the group was a small white fish. It was placed into the cannon and shouted, 'Ocean, here I come!' Someone lit the fuse, and the fish was launched into the air, landing headfirst into the sand inside a large fish tank. Since it landed in the designated sand area, it was considered a successful score.
We quickly went to rescue the small white fish, which was still moving. It reassured us that it was fine. The fish had voluntarily signed up for the game, hoping for a chance to avoid crowding in the circus fish tank and instead live freely in the ocean with more space and comfort.
I asked it, 'But you risked your life to participate in this activity!' The white fish replied, 'Yes, but I’d rather take the risk for a chance at a better life.'
Then, another fish was launched. The organizer told us to quickly check on that fish. It wasn’t moving, and I reported this back to the organizer. Initially, the organizer joked, 'Not moving is good! That way, it won’t struggle when you launch it again.' But then they realized we weren’t joking and said, 'No way! It was moving just a moment ago!'
When I placed the fish back in the water, I found it truly wasn’t moving anymore. I felt really sad. I told the small white fish, and it started to cry, saying, 'We signed up together. I didn’t expect it wouldn’t make it through. Maybe this was its fate.'
I felt sympathy for these little fish, who risked their lives for a chance at a better future. I felt so sad and thought that the launching process needed to be handled more carefully.
I noticed some white squids and octopuses swimming around, and there seemed to be other activities happening as well. The same rule applied: as long as these sea creatures survived the challenge, they could return to the ocean and start a new life.
