The Hidden Value in Ripped Jeans 牛仔褲上破洞的價值

I dreamed I was a speaker at a seminar discussing fashion trends.

I talked about how even the same type of leather can have its value increased through processing. I used distressed leather as an example, explaining that aging and distressing the leather can transform it from something plain into a unique new look, which in turn can increase the price of the final product.

I mentioned a report I saw about how ripped jeans can become more expensive the more distressed they are.

In the audience, people started discussing how it’s becoming harder to determine the value of items. Just like with ripped jeans, more damage can sometimes mean higher value.

I talked about a brand that initially sold regular jeans within a certain price range. But when they started selling ripped jeans, the prices went up, and the brand's status improved.

Then I encouraged young people, saying, "You're about to leave school and enter the workforce. You need to realize your own value."

I explained that today's values are different from the past, just like the holes in jeans. I encouraged them to make themselves more unique and creative, not to become unattractive holes but to turn imperfections into "valuable flaws."

The key is to motivate these young people to find their own distinctive qualities and value, and to strive to express them.

我提到即使是同等的皮料，經過加工處理後，就能提升它的價值。我舉仿舊處理的皮料為例。我說多了仿舊處理，讓原本無趣的皮革有了不同的新樣貌，所生產出來的商品也能有更好的售價。

我提到我看過一篇報導，破洞的牛仔褲，越破爛反而還越貴。

台下就有人開始在探討，現在越來越難分辨商品的價值。就像破洞的牛仔褲，越多洞反而越值錢。

我提到某個品牌原本銷售一般正常的牛仔褲，品牌檔次就受限於特定價格區間。但當他們開始銷售作舊破洞的牛仔褲後，售價反而變高，也提升品牌檔次。

後來我就鼓勵年輕人：「你們即將離開學校進入社會， 要發揮自己的價值。」

我解釋現在的價值觀跟以前很不一樣，就像牛仔褲上的破洞一樣。我鼓勵年輕人要讓自己變得更獨特、更有創意，不要讓自己變成醜陋的破洞。而是經過特殊處理後，讓破洞變成有 "價值的破洞"。

重點就是要鼓勵這些年輕人，找出自己的特色跟價值，盡情去發揮。
