I dreamed that I was working at a computer company. A secretary came over and told me that there was a system I needed to take over. She was printing out the program code and then led me to the printer room.
The printer was a large dot-matrix machine. After printing for a while, I noticed that it started jamming, but it kept printing even though the program code was no longer visible.
I checked the paper feed and saw that it had originally been using standard report paper, but at some point, it switched to what looked like crumpled and damaged paper. I thought to myself, "No wonder it's jamming!"
I saw a box of report paper nearby and wanted to install it, but then I realized that this box contained receipt paper, which was smaller in size and different from the A4 paper we used for printing program code.
The secretary came over to check, and I told her that I had intended to replace the paper, but this box wasn’t the right type.
As we chatted, I remarked, "You're quite skilled!" I felt that system handovers were usually the responsibility of engineers, yet she had been assigned to explain the system to me, and she did it quite clearly. I thought her logical thinking was excellent, and she described the overall system structure in an organized manner.
I also remember that while I was standing there, waiting for the secretary to explain the system to me, I received a phone call from Senior Wei. As soon as I answered, she said, "Didn't I tell you that whenever they assign you a task, you need to inform me?" At that moment, I thought, "Oh! I forgot!"
She continued talking for a while, but since the background was very noisy, I couldn’t hear clearly. The gist of it seemed to be that she wanted to be informed first.
I wondered, "Is this really that important?" But I could tell that she meant well and was trying to help me. However, to me, it didn’t seem like a big deal or anything serious.
