I dreamt that I was a police officer at a large meditation center, talking with some people and noticing monks there. I also saw Chen Shui-bian and Wu Shu-jen sitting and resting.
I wanted to make an international call but had to first dial the police headquarters and get approval from the team leader before connecting.
I tried dialing 003, but the line was always busy. After finally reaching the operator, the call was transferred to the team leader, but it just kept ringing with no answer. It was already past 6 PM. I asked if the team leader might have left for the day, and they said it was possible. I felt frustrated by the rule that international calls needed team leader approval, thinking it was inefficient.
Just when I was feeling disappointed, the call went through. My team leader hadn't left yet, and his colleagues answered the phone for him. I said I needed to make an international call and receive an international fax. They agreed. I went to the fax machine to collect the information and saw it was using recycled paper. Upon closer inspection, I found my own credit card bill used as the recycled paper, with the invalid credit card still attached. I quickly took it away.
I returned to the meditation center and, for some reason, needed to mend a robe and a pair of shorts. The shorts were a bit dirty, indicating someone had worn them without washing, and they had been previously mended but the stitches were coming loose. As I was sewing, I thought, "This needs to be washed."
While mending the robe, I found myself on Dunhua South Road and needed to go to the other side to get something. Holding the robe, I dashed out, crossed the street, and kept running. Along the way, I saw many monks in yellow robes waiting for a bus, as if they were heading back to the mountains.
I continued running and thought, "To go to the mountains, you need to take bus 001." Suddenly, I remembered seeing this bus before. The bus they were waiting for looked like a flat Styrofoam bus that stood upright but fell over with a gust of wind.
Then I saw the flat 001 bus arriving. I chased it but couldn't catch up, and it drove away. I saw Master Guohui standing at the bus stop, still waiting.
I kept running, determined to catch that bus. While running, I choked and coughed, and then I woke up.
Ending 1: Peaceful Resolution
As you keep running, you suddenly find yourself in a beautiful, serene garden filled with blooming flowers and gentle streams. The stress and urgency you felt begin to melt away. You notice a small, ancient temple at the center of the garden. Walking inside, you find a group of monks chanting softly. They welcome you warmly and offer you a seat. You sit down, close your eyes, and join in their meditation. A deep sense of peace and clarity washes over you. When you wake up, you feel refreshed and calm, carrying a sense of tranquility into your day.
Ending 2: Successful Catch
You continue to chase the 001 bus, determined not to let it slip away. With a final burst of speed, you manage to catch up and hop on just as the doors close. Inside, the bus is filled with smiling faces and a welcoming atmosphere. The monks cheer and applaud your effort. You find a seat next to Master Guohui, who smiles at you and hands you a beautifully embroidered robe, symbolizing your perseverance and dedication. As the bus climbs the mountain, you feel a sense of accomplishment and anticipation for the journey ahead. You wake up feeling motivated and ready to tackle challenges.
Ending 3: Unexpected Discovery
As you run, the scenery begins to change. The urban environment fades away, replaced by a lush, enchanted forest. You follow a path that leads you to a hidden clearing where you discover a mystical portal. Curiosity piqued, you step through the portal and find yourself in a magical realm where time flows differently. Here, you encounter a wise, ancient being who offers you profound insights and answers to questions you've long pondered. You spend what feels like hours in deep conversation, gaining wisdom and understanding. When you finally return through the portal, you find yourself back at the meditation center, but with a new sense of purpose and enlightenment. You wake up feeling enlightened and inspired.
Each ending offers a different resolution, from finding inner peace to achieving goals or gaining profound wisdom.
Dreams can be highly subjective and often reflect a blend of personal experiences, subconscious thoughts, and emotions. Here's an interpretation of the elements in this dream:
Being a Police Officer at a Meditation Center: This juxtaposition of a disciplined, authoritative role in a place of peace and reflection might suggest a conflict or a balance you're trying to achieve between control and tranquility in your life.
Encountering Prominent Figures: Seeing public figures like Chen Shui-bian and Wu Shu-jen could symbolize aspects of political or social consciousness. Their presence might reflect concerns about leadership, integrity, or personal struggles.
Difficulty Making an International Call: This could represent challenges in communication or reaching out to distant aspects of your life or consciousness. The need for approval suggests bureaucracy or hurdles in expressing yourself or connecting with others.
Using Recycled Paper for a Fax: Finding your credit card bill on recycled paper indicates concerns about privacy, recycling past issues, or the feeling of being caught in repetitive cycles. The invalid credit card suggests worries about financial security or outdated concerns.
Mending Clothes: This symbolizes repair and self-care. The dirty shorts needing washing and previous repairs coming undone might represent unresolved issues or the need to address neglected aspects of your life.
Running Across Dunhua South Road: This could signify a transition or a journey in your waking life, perhaps a quest for something important or the urgency to achieve a goal.
Seeing Monks in Yellow Robes: Monks often symbolize spiritual guidance, discipline, and enlightenment. Their waiting for a bus suggests a journey or a transition in spiritual understanding.
Chasing the 001 Bus: The bus represents a means to reach a goal or destination, possibly spiritual or personal growth. The difficulty in catching it might symbolize challenges or missed opportunities in your pursuit.
The Flat Styrofoam Bus: This surreal image could indicate fragility or something that appears solid but is actually unstable. It might reflect your concerns about the reliability of certain aspects of your life.
Waking Up Choking: This could be a physical reaction influencing the dream, but symbolically, it might indicate a struggle to breathe or deal with overwhelming emotions or stress.
Overall, the dream appears to reflect a journey of self-discovery and the challenges you face in communication, personal growth, and balancing different aspects of your life. The elements of authority, spirituality, and personal maintenance suggest an ongoing effort to integrate various facets of your identity and responsibilities.
