1) I dreamed that I saw a small new branch growing from the lower part of the Schefflera plant next to my desk, and it had completely turned black and withered. I thought, "What happened? Why is it like this?" I was worried that if the new branch was already dying, maybe the entire root system of the plant was rotting too. Just as I was about to get up and take a closer look at the plant, I woke up. 夢見我看到書桌旁邊鵝掌柴下部長出的小分枝，整個黑掉枯掉了。我心想「怎麼會這樣子？」因為如果下方這新枝都枯掉，會不會整棵植物的根都爛了呢？ 當我準備起身要來看一下這棵樹，就醒了。 2) I dreamed I was at my home in the U.S., packing things up like I was getting ready to go somewhere. Then my younger brother Adolf came over and said, “Don’t go!” But it felt like I had to leave, so I kept packing. He stayed close to me, asking me not to go. The scene shifted — now my husband was driving me somewhere. We were approaching an intersection with traffic lights. But before we reached it, he pulled over to the side and told me to get out there. Someone else’s voice inside the car asked, “Why don’t you drive a little closer to the intersection? Wouldn’t that be better?” But my husband thought there were too many cars at the intersection and it would be more dangerous to stop there. He believed it was safer to stop a bit earlier. I’d only need to walk a short distance anyway. I started getting ready to get out of the car... 夢見我在美國的家正在收東西打包，好像我要去哪裡。然後弟弟 Adolf 走過來對我說「你不要走啦！」可是好像我必須離開，繼續打包。他一直在我旁邊，叫我不要走。 然後場景變成老公開車載著我，快要來到一個十字路口，那裡有紅綠燈。距離路口還有一點距離，老公靠邊停下車，叫我在這裡下車。 此時車內有另一人的聲音問「你怎麼不停前面一點，距離紅綠燈路口近一點？」老公認為路口那裡車多，停在那裡反而更危險。反正他認為停後面一點比較安全，我在這裡下車，稍微走一點路而已。我就準備下車… 3) I dreamed I was in my room, and for some reason, there was a black cat on my bed. I leaned in closer, curious about why there was a black cat here. As I looked closely, I heard Diana (a senior Dharma sister) say, “Don’t put your face so close to it! If it suddenly stretches out a paw, it might scratch your face.” I responded with an “Oh.” But I was still moving my head around, trying to get a better look at the cat — trying to figure out whether it was asleep or awake, because it was so black! 夢見我在我的房間裡，不知道為什麼，我的床上有一隻黑貓。 我把臉湊過去，想要近距離看這隻黑貓，大概就是納悶為什麼有一隻黑貓在這裡。然後聽到 Diana 師姐說「你的臉不要那麼近看牠啦！牠如果突然伸手一抓，就可能會抓到妳的臉。」 我 "喔" 了一聲回應。可是我還是在晃頭晃腦，近距離想要看清楚那隻黑貓，牠到底是睡著還是醒著，因為牠真的好黑喔！

I dreamed that my younger brother Adolf came to visit me at my home in the U.S. He asked if I could play badminton with him. I said, “Sure!”—though honestly, I’m not very good at badminton. As I stepped out of my room, wondering where we could play, he handed me a racket and said we could just play in the hallway outside the rooms. I was a bit puzzled—“Huh? Here?”—but then thought, actually, this hallway might work. It’s a pretty straight space. I told Adolf, “But I don’t have a shuttlecock.” He walked into the laundry room, where there seemed to be a backpack. He said, “I do! I have some right here,” and pulled out two shuttlecocks. He positioned himself, ready to play, and I started walking toward him to close the distance between us. But he quickly said, “That’s close enough, you’re already near.” I still felt like moving closer, but he seemed sure the distance was fine and that I didn’t need to come any nearer. I got ready to serve, but I kept missing the shuttlecock completely—just like in real life. I thought to myself, “I still can’t play badminton.” I told Adolf, “I keep missing! It’s been way too long since I practiced.” I tried serving twice but couldn’t hit the shuttlecock. Then it was his turn to serve. He sent the shuttlecock my way, but I still couldn’t hit it—it just fell to the ground. I thought, “Oh no, how am I still this bad?” I was genuinely trying, but it felt like the racket never quite connected with the shuttlecock. So I just kept picking it up off the ground, feeling like—ugh—this really isn’t fun at all. 夢見弟弟 Adolf 來到我美國的家找我，問我可不可以陪他打羽毛球。我說好啊！可是其實我不是很會打羽毛球。 我從房間出來，正在想說要在哪裡打球時，他給了我一個羽毛球拍，就說家裡房間前面的廊道可以打球。我有點納悶「蛤？這裡？」再想想，這裡好像也還蠻適合的，因為就是一個走廊。 我跟 Adolf 說「我沒有球耶！」他來到洗衣間，那裡好像有個背包，他說「有啊！我這裡有球！」就從背包裡拿出兩個羽毛球。 他站好，我向他走去，想讓我們的距離近些。他直說「可以了，可以了。你那樣子已經很近了。」我還是想往前走，但他覺得我們的距離夠近了，我不用再靠近。 我拿出羽毛球要發球，可是我都一直打不到球 (和現實狀況一樣)。我心想「我到現在還是不會打羽毛球。」 我跟 Adolf 說「我都打不到球耶！太久沒練習了。」我發了兩次球，都打不到球。後來就換他發球，可是他把球打過來，我還是打不到球，球就掉到地上。 我心想「天啊！我的技術怎麼還是這麼差？」明明認真打，但好像球拍也瞄準不到球。總之我就一直在撿球，然後覺得這樣子一點都不好玩啊！

I dreamed I was working at a company. I used to hold an important position there, but it seemed like I had been demoted or was about to leave, and someone else was coming to take over my role. I remember sitting at a small, narrow table, working on my laptop. My supervisor had found a young woman to replace me—she looked like Becky, someone I know from a club. The supervisor asked me to hand over my work to her. Since I had my laptop with me, I started explaining the details of the job to Becky. I even brought some of the work home to finish. The next day, when I got back to the office, I saw my supervisor and Becky discussing the project. I was there, but they completely ignored me—like I was invisible. I figured since I was leaving the position anyway, I might as well push my long table to the corner to make more room for my supervisor and Becky to talk. But there was an engineer there, possibly fixing Becky’s computer, so I pushed my desk even farther over to give them more space. I ended up pushing the desk too far, close to another colleague’s workspace, which was cluttered. I thought to myself that maybe I shouldn't have done that—it might seem like I was trying to avoid Becky on purpose. Plus, it made the whole area look messy and disorganized. Later, I overheard some coworkers saying that Becky was bragging about how important her current project was—going on about how impressive it was. I thought, “But that’s all my work!” Still, it seemed like my supervisor had no intention of having me continue. So I just sat down, took out my USB, and copied the work I had done at home onto my laptop so I could keep working on it. 夢見我在一個公司上班。我本來像是在一個重要的職務，可是好像因為我被降職還是要離開，有人要來接我的工作。 我記得我在一個小小窄窄的長桌上打電腦，我的主管找了一個年輕女生，看來像是我在社團認識的 Becky，主管要我把工作交接給她。因為我有一台筆電，我就跟 Becky 在講工作細節。 我記得我還把工作帶回家處理。隔天到公司上班的時候，看到主管和 Becky 討論專案的事情。我在那裡，他們並沒有要跟我討論，就是把我當隱形人。 我想說反正我要離開職務了，就把我的長桌推到角落，想說讓出空間給主管和 Becky 討論事情。可是有個工程師正好在那裡，像是正在修理 Becky 的電腦，我就推得更過去些，想說多留一些空間給他們。 我桌子推得有點太過去，就是推到比較接近另外一個同事的工作區域，看到他那裡空間也是亂亂的。我心想我這樣做也不對，而且會讓人家感覺我是刻意要躲開 Becky，而且我讓整個空間桌子的排列顯得好凌亂。 後來我聽到有同事在講，Becky 到處在炫耀她現在處理的案子是多麼的重要，反正就是說她現在做的案子很炫。 我心想「那些都是我做的啊！」不過看來主管也沒有要我繼續。我就坐下來，拿出我的 USB，把我昨天在家裡做的工作拷貝到我的筆電，這樣子我就可以繼續工作了。
